All you have to do is excute the shot :-) which may or may not be easy. I t is very easy to program and gives me the information I need for each shot. The reason I purchased the Golf Logic is because my golfing partner had one. I come to Texas in the winter and he still works, therefore I needed one of my own. It will give you confidence in your shot making, because you have all the necessary information, yardage, hazards, etc.
Also is great when golfing an unfamiliar course. I have found the Garmin to be especially helpful on approach shots and in my pitching. Best gift I ever received.
THE CONNECTOR CABLE IS ALSO HARD TO CONNECT TO THE UNIT. I WOULD RECEMMEND IT TO ANYONE. THE BATTERY LASTED ALMOST FIVE ROUNDS. THE UNIT IS EASY TO USE, AS ADVERTIZED. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS CONNECTING THE UNIT TO THE COMPUTER--BE SURE TO HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY.
He ended up returning it because he didn't like paying the fees to download multiple courses. I gave this as a Christmas gift to an avid golfer. He shopped around and ended up with a basic range finder.
I am thrilled with this unit. It gives the distances to the front and back of bunkers or hazards off the tee.
A great investment -- I would recommend it without reservation to any avid golfer. And, one of the features that I like the most, it will tell you the distance of each of your shots.
It tells you a very accurate distance to the center of each green. With this accurate driving/iron shot distance information, I can make better choices of clubs throughout the round.
Being an avid golfer for years who always looked down upon others using electronic devices to assist their game, I recently purchased the GolfLogix by Garmin after researching both the high end and low end golf GPS array. At half the prize of the units with the colored screens and distance to the front, center, and back of the greens, the GolfLogix gives me the essential information to make better shots.
I always thought that I was driving the ball further than I actually am.
